A few weeks ago Daaw Webhosting implemented a new anti-spam and anti-virus solution on the installed mail server. The new solution can be managed by all Daaw Webhosting clients by simply signing in with their email address and password. The control panel can currently be found at: http://joelle.daaw.org/maia. In the antispam solution you may link all your email adresses to your active account which will save you from signing in multiple times with different email adresses.
We also set up some new secure sites by using certificates from http://www.cacert.org this certificate will need to be imported to your client manually, do do this go to http://www.cacert.org/index.php?id=3 after you finished this setup you will be able to access all daaw.org secured websites without a security warning.
Saturday 28th of october the main mail server will be offline for 15 minutes between 15:00 and 16:00 GMT due to an upgrade to the harddrive.
The harddrive upgrade will give us more storage space and will allow us to keep our backups for longer periods of time.
*Edit: mail services were up in 10 minutes
We are currently testing a new windows hosting server and a linux PHP5 development server which will both be available to customers soon. Access to these servers can be requested trough the usual channels or by registering for a new account.
Because of a problem on patricia involving the /tmp dir mysql and some other programs crashed causing people not being able to log in or show websites. with some updates and some cleaning up the problem has been fixed and services are back up running.
Due to continues problems with the windows hosting machines we are taking them offline untill further notice, all currently hosted sites will move to the currently running linux machines.
